The UTS Union Sports Scholarship Program strives to assist our athletes in their desire to combine High Performance Sport and a Tertiary Education. UTS has a rich history of elite athletes. Over the years the UTS Union has provided Sports Scholarships for Olympians, World Champions and National Champions.
In 2008 our Sports Scholarships provide the following:
- A cash grant of up to $2,500 depending on performance level - the cash grant is paid in 2 installments, the first at the Scholarship presentation evening and the second following University Games (October of each year). There is no restriction on how this grant is to be used.
- Free use of the UTS Union Gym - the Fitness Centre membership is a 12 month unlimited membership (April to March)
- Subsidised fees when competing for UTS in University Sporting Competitions
