Eligibility

Eligibility Criteria for Sports Scholarships

  1. To be considered for a scholarship grant athletes must be:
    1. A registered UTS student; and
    2. A member of one of the following UTS clubs:
      Athletics (UTS Norths), Cricket (UTS Balmain), Fencing, Gridiron, Hockey, Rowing, Volleyball; or
    3. A member of the UTS Squad competing in the State and or National University sporting competitions in sports other then those catered for by the clubs listed in (b) above.
  2. Scholarships will only be granted to those students who sign an agreement that they will represent UTS either as a member of a club specified in 1 (b) above or as a UTS Squad member referred to in 1 (c) above.
  3. Scholarship benefits may be withdrawn if a student fails to comply with the above conditions.
  4. Notwithstanding any of the above the Union reserves the right in special circumstances to grant a scholarship to students who do not meet the above eligibility criteria.

 

NOTE:
Athletes holding a sporting scholarship with another Australian University in Australia will not be considered.
