East Coast Challenge

The formation of the Eastern University Games began in the late 1980s and was largely the result of the efforts of two people; Ben Tjen of the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS), and Ann Mitchell of the University of Sydney Women's Sports Association. Since then the EUGs as it is now known has grown to be one of the biggest events on the Australian Uni Sport calendar.

Held each July, the Games is renowned for providing a competitive yet friendly atmosphere and attracts between 3200 - 3500 participants. A week long action packed social program is another highlight of the event providing plenty of entertainment off the field.
