Sports Recognition Award

Rules governing the Sports Recognition Award

  1. In order to be eligible for this award a nominee shall have made an exceptional contribution to the organisation and administration of a UTS Sports Club over a period of three years, and have achieved a high level of sporting performance in a UTS sports/club team.
  2. A nominee must be a member of the UTS Union.
  3. A member may be nominated by a UTS Sports Club after consideration by a selection committee comprising at least three members of the Club concerned or by the Union Sports Office.
  4. Nominations for the ‘Sports Recognition Award’ shall be called for annually when nominations are called for Blues, Intermediate Blues and Sportsperson of the Year.
  5. The award shall be determined by the Awards Committee.
  6. The recipient of the Sports Recognition Award will be presented with an official certificate and have his/her name recorded on the Union’s Sports Honour Board.
