Board
The Board of UTS Union Ltd is the body responsible for the governance of the Union and for making policy decisions on all aspects of the Union's activities and operations.
All students and University staff are encouraged to take an interest in the affairs of the Union and are welcome to stand for a position on the Board. Elections for student and staff positions on the Board are conducted annually by the University, usually in September, for two-year terms commencing on 7 October. One staff director is elected each year, 4 student directors are elected in even-numbered years and 3 student directors are elected in odd-numbered years. Under the Union's Constitution, the Board comprises 13 Directors made up as follows:
• The Chair, who is appointed by the University;
• The Treasurer, who is appointed by the University;
• 1 other Director, who is appointed by the University;
• 2 Directors, who are elected by and from amongst the staff of the University;
• 7 Directors, who are elected by and from amongst the students of the University;
• The CEO of the Union.
The Board meets monthly except December. Board minutes are published on this website.
